2nd shift Machine Operator/Material Handler

COATER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • WATCH COATING PAN STATION CLOSELY- This is where most employees will spend the most significant time during their probationary period.
  • Be responsible for indicating to team members problems that may require them to slow or stop the coating process
  • Materials used to coat with all water based products- ammonia smell present- breathing apparatus can be made available if required
  • Be responsible for maintaining uniform uncoated edges as well as monitor entire web coating on material
  • Be responsible for the unwind of material- indicate to team members when roll is at a size where machine may be required to slow down/stop or a new roll is needed
  • Cleaning of rollers/equipment when machine has stopped or pre/post coating process
  • Aiding team members with new roll put ups/takedowns, splicing of new material
  • Be able to safely handle forklifts to bring material to unwind and off rewinds of machines as well as weigh totes/scrap materials
  • Coating Machine rewind duties to be trained once operator has successfully operated Coating Pan responsibilities

CONVERTING/SLITTER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for converting coated material into customer specified roll sizes through company Purchase orders
  • Responsible for maintaining paperwork for customers who require a Process Control Report/Slitter Process report indicating customer specs, roll weights, pallet weights etc
  • Roll weight handling can be from 6# to over 100# rolls required to be palletized by hand
  • Responsible for watching for flags in roll which require machine to be stopped or slowed up depending on flag status
  • Responsible for changeovers/ splices according to spec
  • Responsible for indicating to a manager material issues preventing quality converting
  • Correctly label and stack product on skid making sure to properly secure before moving product to shrink wrap area

MATERIAL HANDLING

Need to climb on and off forklift and move products from production to stretch wrapping area.

Move completed product to shipping racks if possible.

Make sure proper & correct product & shipping labels are attached

Unload/Load trucks with Inbound or Outbound material/ perform trailer audit

Maintain a clean and safe workplace, operator may have Clean up and Garbage duties from time to time.

Safely operate forklift and all coating/converting machinery in order to complete tasks

Work cooperatively and productively with other Team members and Supervisors in order to complete tasks with little supervision

REQUIREMENTS

-Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting material some of which may be heavy and awkward.

All liquid materials here are water based/NON HAZARD and are compliant with OSHA Safety Workplace Rules

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
